Stuff Coming Together

I’m so pumped about Community Service Project #2- Family Movie Night. Before I continue allow me to digress for a moment… the following are my most recent Twitter posts. I thought they might be of help to someone.

  • I have a personal philosophy…”Know what you do, do what you do, do it well.”
  • Don’t be guilty of retreating from the plan that God has given you. It is HIM (God our maker) that gets the credit for it all!
  • Please remember to affirm your words by your actions!
  • Whatever you’re doing right now should bring you closer to your destiny, if not- STOP!
  • I’m not sure why I’m tweeting so much before midnight, but I feel that many don’t know the potential that lies within us to do great things
  • NEVER GIVE UP!
  • Never DOUBT!
  • We must KEEP THE FAITH!
  • God is able to do more through us than we could possibly ask or think
  • despite the economy, we are living in the days of possibilities
  • I’m in the process of firming up the details for the event to ensure that everything is in place as much as possible. I’m grateful for the administration of the school. They have been extremely supportive throught this process. It helps when you have people that desire to be helped.

Again, my desire is to really help show engagement among families. The “Yellow Jacket” community is on the rise. I want to be part of the process that helps them get to the next level. Whenever, the church takes its rightful place in our communities the world will be a much better place.

    Go Yellow Jackets!

    Building The Family

I’m excited about the possibility of energizing families to come out to a school on a Friday night for a FREE Movie. It’s with great anticipation to see familes involved in the life of their child. This may not seem like a big issue to you…. but for many families it is.Some families are struggling to put the pieces of the puzzle together with their finances. This will give many an opportunity to sit back and relax for a moment without worrying where the money is coming from to pay for the tickets and food.

Where is the spiritual context many may ask…… more to come tomorrow.

    Community Service Project #2

I’m grateful to have an opportunity to be able to serve my community. If all goes as planned we will be hosting this event in the next couple of weeks. This is not for us to put on a show, to tease families, or anything that would not promote what God intended for us to.I’m particularly concerned about the lack, and total absence in many cases, of families not taking part in their child’s academic achievement. I’ll post more in the upcoming days, but for now take a look at the flyer below.

    Family Day

Today was a day for the Robinson Family…..

    • Late for the Sabbath Service
    • Visited the S.C. State College Fair @ Bethel Baptist Church. Big-ups for Pastors McKissick Sr. and Jr. and all the folks who pulled the event off.
    • Witness the localized “Gospel Idol” from the Maestro Troy Sneed
    • Bought my 2 yr old a  CD from Brinson….check him out at

    www.godchaserz.com

  • Did some shopping at the mall
  • We even went grocery shopping and realized we’re not the only people who eat wheat bread
  • While shopping at the mall I saw this nice little orange Smart Car. It had everything a full-size car has: A/C, radio, CD player, and at least 2 seats. But what struck me more than anything was this thought…

What if you’re dreams are bigger than what you see in front of you. What if you’ve grown beyond what you’re used to experiencing. What if you want more out life. What if God has put a hunger inside of you beyond what many of your peers want to experience.

As I stood in front of this car, amazed at its compactness, I couldn’t help to think about what I believe God is saying to all of us- GROW! Step out of the box! Do what I’m telling you to do!

I don’t know if this helps….I’m just reflecting.
