You Only Live Once

Push past your fears. Go Hard After Your Dreams. You only live once.

When it is all said and done, we only have one life to live. It is wise that we make it count. Make it count for something significant. Significant because we can help to make the world a better place to live. Because we can improve our communities. Because we have the passion and skill set to make IT happen now….in our lifetime.

We should all use our God-given abilities to something remarkable, memorable, un-erasable, irreversible. Why? Because we only live once. Now is the time for us to begin to walk out our calling in life. Whatever path this is for each of us I pray for our success. While on this path don’t neglect the lessons learned that will strengthen us to stay grounded with a right perspective about our accomplishments.

Arrogance and pride have no place. Humility and gratitude, among other virtues should be our banner. Yea, I know virtues and principles are words not commonly used in our language. However, I have come to find that most people will respect a person of character and conviction more so than those of great intellectual competence.

As we strategically move to make 2012 one of the best years of our lives yet…don’t forget to have fun in the process. Laughter is good for the soul.

The best is yet to come if we apply ourselves. Execution is going to be key. There is no shortage on ideas. Myself included, has struggled with precision execution. If we are going to make something happen, we have to MAKE it happen. Talking about it versus DOING it is was inspires people.

Be encouraged to pursue your dreams, because you only live once.

What are some of the things you hope to accomplish in life?

One Can Change The World

Love this song and the message! I believe the power of one can change the world.

Blake Mycoskie: Start Something That Matters

If you have ever wondered about starting something that truly makes a difference. Well, start something that matters. Sounds simple doesn’t it? The itch that most of us feel to DO something that helps solves a problem is the inner pulse to accomplish something that is far above words can adequately describe. Images and videos can help with this…sometimes.

Watch this clip below and be inspired.

Shoulda Coulda Woulda

You hold on to the thin pieces of steel.

You grip ever so tightly, that imprints are left in the palm of your hands.

You are not alone. There are others along side of you. You don’t consider yourself a gang. But looking at the imprints of your hands, you might as well be.

You contemplate and agonize, but your feelings of uncomfortableness never cause you to take action.

You live in a state of regret, constantly watching.

You inwardly despise people when you see others that are doing what you are supposed to be doing. But actually you’re hating on yourself.

You and your spouse are tired of your one more “brand new idea” for the 50th time this year.

You are not the biggest loser, because you haven’t attempted anything.

You are a fence hugger.

That’s right. Someone that clings to shoulda, coulda, woulda! (did I spell that right?)

  • Fence huggers are obsessed with the paralysis of analysis.
  • Fence huggers never try anything, except sayings like “I’m gonna.”
  • Fence huggers are too afraid to take step one.
  • Fence huggers blame everyone else for their problems.
  • Fence huggers are often consumed with anxiety about being stuck like chuck. :) That’s not funny :( It’s sad.
  • Fence huggers are ________ (you fill in the blank).
  • Fence huggers read a post like this and don’t leave a comment.

Are you a fence hugger?
