Day 38 Good Everyday Challenge Alaska

Alaska Range

Our first stop yesterday was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It was great to discover the Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at the University of Alabama. The organization was recommended bya fellow Tentblogger, Blane Young.

Now the GOOD Everyday tour is in Alaska. Normally, this trip would have taken days to drive by land or hour to fly by air. With the internet it’s only a matter of seconds if you know the website you’re looking for!

So where did we stop in Alaska?

Anchorage. Which organization? Challenge Alaska.

About Challenge Alaska:

Challenge Alaska improves the quality of life for people with disabilities and the whole community through adaptive sports, therapeutic recreation, and education.

Participation in Challenge Alaska’s programs helps people break down the barriers that may exist for them in many aspects of life. We accomplish this by building confidence and security, creating an infrastructure for support, increasing mobility, and improving health. CA’s mission promotes education, social development and involvement, employment, and the ultimate goal of independence.

It’s  amazing- that this organization exists to support people that many often overlook. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to demonstrate compassion in some way to those you’ve been called to reach.

Way to go Challenge Alaska!

Tomorrow we’ll be in Arizona! Have a group to recommend?
