Day 44 GOOD Everyday Delaware

Delaware Scenery

It’s the 8th day of the national tour. It feels great to be on the road again in a new state! We’ve landed in one of the country’s oldest- Delaware!

As has been the focus for several stops now, it continues to be on groups, ministries, and organizations that have at its core to impact the next generation.

My background in private and public education lives on. Maybe not in the classroom, but I’m discovering  creative ways to impact youth. We are stopping in Wilmington, Delaware at Urban Promise! Not just to learn more about the group but also to give $1.

According to their website:

The mission of UrbanPromise is to teach children and young adults the skills necessary for spiritual growth, academic achievement, life management and Christian leadership.

I really like their Vision Statement!

To be a community in Christ of servant leadership and transformation seeking a full life for all involved – children, youth, families, staff, and volunteers – in the neighborhoods of our city.

Keep up the great work Urban Youth!
