Enlarge Your Capacity

Take time today to discover new opportunities today that perhaps you didn’t know about. You have potential to do great things in life. Never underestimate your God-given talent. Your ability to overcome certain obstacles is evident of your will to win.

Here are five things that help me grow:

1. Prayer.

6-7Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7, The Message)

2. God’s word. Reading the word is not an option. It’s a constant source hope and encouragement.

105-112 By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. (Psalm 119:105, The Message)

3. Encouragers. We were designed to be relational. Creating solid, healthy relationships is vital. They help you to see things that you may overlook. These relationships can also be a source of inspiration.

4. Reflection. Observing where you’ve come from is important, because it helps you to better understand where you are in life. Looking back is good, yet don’t look back too long. Keep your focus on things that are before you.

5. Reading. When I taught middle and high school, I constantly reminded my students to read. One of my favorite lines was “readers are leaders.” 🙂 Reading exposes you, stretches you, and challenges you to new ideas about life.

In short fashion, these five tips may be of help to you to enlarge your capacity.
