Yesterday, I posted ten things to ponder concerning the first half of 2011. If you didn’t get a chance to read it, click here to read the list.
We face dilemmas in life. Face it. We can not escape them. What’s more important is how we deal with the curve balls of life.
A few years ago Will and Jaden Smith starred in “The Pursuit Of Happyness.” It’s based on the true story of Chris Garnder.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the film.
“Chris Gardner has big dreams for him and his family but it doesn’t seem to come together for him. Chris has an opportunity to be a stock broker but first he has to go through a grueling internship which means no pay. Chris decides to do it but when his wife leaves and he is evicted, he has to take care of his son on his own. So they find themselves sometimes living on the street and struggling to get by. But Chris is determined to make it.” -Wing Clips
The interview scene below is one of my favorites. “After spending the night in jail for unpaid parking tickets, Chris is forced to run straight to his prestigious interview in dirty plain clothes.”-Wing Clips
Don’t allow obstacles to block you from reaching your goals. We must learn how to turn lemons into lemonade.
