As men we must fight if we are going to accomplish anything substantial in life. Nothing is just given to us in our lap if we choose to sit idle. Interestingly enough sometimes we may feel as we are at war within ourselves (or another me). The scripture provides a great example of this struggle that we often face to overcome battles if we’re going to be victorious. It is not possible to escape these woes, because it is necessary for our growth and development. The reality is… it’s the only way that Christ is shown alive in our life.
Here’s a bit of motivation from the scripture….
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 AMP, We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;10 Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies.
