As you probably have read recently my push to complete a 90 day journey is well under way. When I started 25 days ago I wasn’t quite sure how all of this would turn out. I knew and still believe a community around this blog will happen.
A commitment to any goal without a crowd of supporters requires a great deal of determination. This is not the kind of determination to simply get out of bed when you don’t feel like it. This is something more. Something with a bigger purpose.
To push yourself with the determination needed requires an all out I-do-not-care-what-people-think-I-am on-a mission-to-make-it-happen kind of mindset. This is the grit necessary to go against the grain of mediocrity and average. Yep, this is the grit necessary to go against “that will do” and I am too tired to be successful. Foolishness.
It is great to be encouraged by family and friends but have you ever encouraged yourself? These are people that have a special place in your life. They will be there to support no matter what. If you have not encouraged yourself, do it now.
Let’s practice. Say… “I will be successful in life. I will set great goals. I will surround myself with positive people. I will work hard to accomplish my dreams.”
You can do it. Now is the time to brace yourself for the tasks ahead. Grip your mind against every negative thought that will try to convince you that you can accomplish what you set out to do. The distractions to stop, quit, give up, turn around, etc are sure to come. What matters most is how you respond to these vices. Continue On to be a winner. Because a winner is what you are if only you push yourself.
