Have you ever tried to let your voice be heard concernig the things that God has told you. Lately, that’s the way I’ve felt about church planting. Sometimes it seems like the more I try to let people know about what God has shown me concerning Image Church, it seems like the more some people are not listening. Now this isn’t everyone, but it certainly feels like many people just can’t imagine a new, vibrant, multi-cultural church can launch and thrive.
Nevertheless, I’m confident in what God has given me to do. It’s always comforting to know the Word is what we have as a source of strength and guidance. Not just during times of great testing, but we should always use God’s word as a guiding light. During times of uncertainty I like Philippians 1:6. It reads like this:
KJV- King James Version
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
AMP- Amplified Bible
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
We must always put our hope and trust in God’s word. People are frail….ALL OF US. Somedays we’re up, somedays we’re down. Soley relying upon what your friend says is dangerous. Put your confidence in the ONE with the Master Plan. He knows what He’s placed inside everyone of us. We just simply have to trust and obey, and know that He’s working on our behalf-even when it doesn’t seem like it.
