There has been a considerable amount of attention given towards #EdSpark. I think we are on the brink of a radical shift in the way innovation develops in the education sphere. Allow me to explain. From my view, change in education is often tied to those within the “in-crowd.” Those within that group support what they deem worthy of their time, intellectual capital, and financial resources. Imagine for a moment the amount of ideas that may go unheard.
This April, educators and students who may traditionally been unnoticed will have a massive opportunity to shine.
1. Teachers can guide their own projects.
2. Students have an opportunity to compete (among adults).
3. Creators can connect with other creators.
4. Funding is available to bring projects to scale.
