It can be very easy to get discouraged in the beginning stages of any great effort. The look up the ladder, the view down a long path, the small seeds……oooooh the small seeds.
Above Below are pics of seeds of corn. Little as they may be in size, their potential is far greater to produce something that benefits many people. Just think! From that seed comes cornbread, corn on the cob, cream of corn, alternative fuel, etc-etc.
Never downplay the role the seed plays in your life. Because after the seed, then the harvest. I especially like this picture, but I have to respect the seeds. With no seed, no harvest.
Just a thought, it’s late again…..
I’ve had a very long, productive day- thank you Lord! Was able to have quality family time, watch “House”, eat dinner, send out very important emails for this weekend’s ice cream giveaway and community meeting (not in this order). Not too mention more miles ahead before I lay me down to sleep.
The more I think about church planting (especially this season) I can’t help but rest in HIS promise. This is just a word of encouragement for you from God… II Corinthians 4:7-9 NLT
7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
