This was posted a week ago today on I haven’t felt much like blogging recently. This week long off-period has been energizing!

Thank you for your support of!

Church planting requires a lot of work and effort to make an impact in communities. In an attempt to help further the work that I believe God called me to to do it has become evident that all the necessary components aren’t in place to successfully build a vibrant community of faith. There are several reasons that have contributed to this, primarily a lack of volunteers, and lack of monetary support.

Thus, will not be launching. I know this may come as a surprise, but it’s necessary. Some would argue that you don’t need to have everything in place to get started with ministry. While this may be true for some, I firmly believe that everything we do must be done in excellence. Without specific essential components it’s not possible.

Melisia and I greatly appreciate your prayers and words of comfort. So what’s next? We are prayerfully weighing our options and seeking advice from trusted mentors concerning future steps. Whatever it is, we’re confident it will be for God’s glory and the benefit of our community.

The New Tiger Woods Ad

I don’t have the time to write all my thoughts here about the ad…. so I’ll be brief.

There are too many different angles to approach my comments from. Being a son, brother, husband, and father, I can speak from varied perspectives. I’ll take the role of the father.

As a father, I whole heartedly agree with the ad. I have two young sons. Even in their toddler years I see the importance of balance between discipline and discussion concerning their misbehavior when out of line.

From the “father” view I believe it’s a good way to resume his presence in the advertising world. As oppossed to shots of his signature, victory arm gestures.

What are your thoughts?
