Day 29 Good Everyday HollyRod Foundation

At it again today! The dollar was given to the HollyRod Foundation. If you didn’t know, The Holly Rod Foundation is spear headed by Rodney and Holly Robinson-Peete.

The HollyRod Foundation was founded in 1997 by NFL quarterback Rodney Peete and actress Holly Robinson Peete in honor of Holly’s father, Matthew T. Robinson, Jr., who was diagnosed with PD in 1982 at the young age of 46. Although Mr. Robinson was forced to retire from a successful career in entertainment, he had the emotional and financial support of Holly, Rodney and the rest of his family. Other patients, however, are not so fortunate. While caring for Mr. Robinson, Holly and Rodney often encountered patients who were alone, could not afford care or did not have access to expensive medications, treatments and services.

I first found about the Holly Rod Foundation during this past season of Celebrity Apprentice. Holly’s  focus was on bring awareness and resources to families with Autistic children. For more information about Holly Rod check out their site.

Day 28 Good Everyday I Failed

Well Day 28 was a day FULL of other stuff that was really important. And I didn’t give before 11:59.59  (I hope I typed that correctly). Not Good!

If I’m going to be a successful Tentblogger I must acknowledge the fact that my strategy needs to change Q-U-I-C-K-L-Y. My approach to doing good everyday needs immediate adjustment. The fact that this post is being published shortly after midnight is frustrating.

To remedy my late posting dilemma I’m thinking of possible solutions to help the ailment of “Late Blog Posting-itis.”

Here are five that come to mind:

1. Write blog posts before the break of day each morning.

2. Have a ghost writer publish them for me

3. Stop blogging altogether (God forbid).

4. Commit to only blogging a few days of the week. (This would defeat the “everyday” personal challenge.)

5. Write my posts at least 5 days in advance. This is something I really want to do. I was encouraged to do this during a recent conversation with Blane, James, and Randy.

What are you thoughts? What should I do to help solve the “Late Blog Posting-itis”?

There comes a time in each of our lives that we have to take time to evaluate where we’ve been, where we are, and where we believe God is leading.

Often, we wrestle with what we know may be true because of the discomfort it may cause. What will people think? What if I fail? Who else is doing it? All of these questions are valid, but they should not be the decision maker for you.

So what if you’ve had hardships in the past! Who hasn’t? So what if you don’t have all the resources you think you need! Who has it all anyway?

This is just a post of encouragment to Re-emerge and do all God has called you to BE and DO.

Blesssings. Peace. 🙂
